Prayer for Those Grieving a Suicide Loss

For families and friends left behind after someone they love died by suicide.

“For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Romans 8:38-39 (KJV)

Lord, someone I love died by suicide, and my heart is shattered. I feel grief, confusion, guilt and questions that may never be answered.

Hold me in this pain. Quiet the voice that blames me. Help me remember the person they were, not only how they died.

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God. Thank You for Your love.

Lead me to people and support who understand. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Short prayer to remember

Nothing can separate us from Your love, Lord. Hold me. Amen.
