Prayer for the Loss of a Grandparent

For grandchildren saying goodbye to a grandmother or grandfather.

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.”

2 Timothy 4:7 (KJV)

Lord, my grandparent has died. They were part of my story from the very beginning.

Thank You for their love, their stories and their faith. Help me carry forward the good they planted in our family.

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Thank You for a life well lived.

Comfort my parents and family as we grieve together. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
