Prayer for Hope When Job Hunting for Months

For long job searches full of applications, rejections and silence.

“I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.”

Psalm 27:13 (KJV)

Lord, I have been looking for work for so long. I have sent out more applications than I can count and heard back from very few. The rejections are wearing me down.

Open the right door. Lead me to the job You have for me. Give me favor with the people reading my resume and interviewing me.

Provide for our needs while I wait. Help me use this time well, to learn, to rest, and to stay close to You.

When I start to believe I am not good enough, remind me who I am in You. I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Help me believe I will see Your goodness here.

Give me energy to keep going. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Short prayer to remember

I will see Your goodness, Lord. Open the right door for me. Amen.
