Morning Prayer for Patience With Your Kids

For parents who want to start the day calm instead of snapping by breakfast.

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.”

Galatians 5:22-23 (KJV)

Lord, before the kids wake up, I ask You for patience. I know there will be spilled cereal, lost shoes and arguments.

Help me respond calmly instead of yelling. Help me listen to my children and see their hearts. When I mess up, help me apologize quickly.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance. Grow this fruit in me today.

Let my children feel loved and safe in our home. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Short prayer to remember

Lord, grow patience and gentleness in me today. Amen.
