Prayer for Strength When Starting Over at 50

For midlife fresh starts after a job loss, divorce, move or change of calling.

“Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”

Isaiah 43:19 (KJV)

Lord, I never thought I would be starting over at this age. My plans have changed, and part of me feels it is too late.

Remind me that You are not finished with me. Give me courage to learn new things, meet new people and try again.

Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness. Make a way for me, Lord.

Use everything I have lived through, the good and the hard, for something good. Give me wisdom, energy and joy for this next chapter.

Thank You for the years behind me and the ones ahead. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Short prayer to remember

Lord, do a new thing in my life and make a way for me. Amen.
