Lord, I lied, and I know it was wrong. I tried to protect myself, but I hurt trust.
Forgive me. Give me courage to tell the truth to the person I lied to and make it right.
He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. I confess and ask for mercy.
Help me be honest from now on, even when it is hard. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
