“The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.”
Psalm 18:2 (KJV)
Lord, I pray for the firefighters who run into burning buildings, wrecked cars and dangerous places to save others.
Protect them from heat, smoke, collapse and every danger. Give them strength, courage and clear thinking. Help their teams work together well.
The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust. Be their rock and fortress.
Heal the memories they carry from hard calls. Give them rest between shifts.
Bring them home safely to their families. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Short prayer to remember
Lord, be the rock and fortress of every firefighter today. Amen.
