Lord, I keep checking my phone. I am waiting for a call that matters so much to me, and every minute feels like an hour. My mind keeps rehearsing every possible answer.
Quiet my heart. Help me put the phone down and do something useful with this time. Let me trust that the call will come at the right moment.
My soul, wait thou only upon God, for my expectation is from Him. Let my hope rest in You, not in the news itself.
If the news is good, I will thank You. If it is hard, I know You will be with me in it. Either way, You are still good and still near.
Give me peace right now, in this waiting. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
