“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”
James 1:5 (KJV)
Lord, today a new school year begins. Soon my classroom will be full of students with different needs, stories and personalities.
Give me wisdom to teach well and patience for every child. Help me see each student, including the quiet ones and the ones who struggle.
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally. I ask You for wisdom today.
Make my classroom a safe, kind place. Give me good relationships with parents and coworkers.
Give me energy for the long days ahead and joy in this calling. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Short prayer to remember
Lord, give me wisdom and patience for every student this year. Amen.
