Prayer for Anxiety Before Public Speaking

For a presentation, speech, sermon or toast that has your hands shaking.

“Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say.”

Exodus 4:12 (KJV)

Lord, I have to speak in front of people soon and I am terrified. My hands are shaking, my mouth is dry, and I am afraid my mind will go blank.

Calm my nerves. Help me remember what I prepared and speak clearly and slowly. If I make a mistake, help me move on without panic.

You told Moses, who also feared speaking, Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say. Be with my mouth today, Lord.

Help me focus on serving the people listening, not on how I look. Let my words be helpful and true.

Thank You for this opportunity. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Short prayer to remember

Be with my mouth, Lord, and teach me what to say. Amen.
