Prayer for a Child With Autism

For parents loving and supporting a child on the autism spectrum.

“I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.”

Psalm 139:14 (KJV)

Lord, thank You for my child. You made them fearfully and wonderfully, with their own way of seeing the world.

Help me understand them better. Give me patience on hard days, wisdom for meltdowns and creativity for new ways to connect.

Guide us to the right therapists, teachers and doctors. Help my child grow, learn and communicate in their own way and time.

Protect them from unkindness and help others see their beauty and gifts. Give them friends who accept them.

I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Help my child know they are wonderfully made too.

Give me rest and support as their parent. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Short prayer to remember

Lord, my child is wonderfully made. Help me love them well today. Amen.
