Prayer for Newlyweds in Their First Year

For couples learning to share a home, a budget and a life.

“And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.”

1 Peter 4:8 (KJV)

Lord, we are newly married and learning so much about each other. Some days are sweet and some days are hard.

Help us build good habits now, praying together, talking honestly, handling money wisely and resolving conflict well.

When we disagree, help us listen and not just try to win. When we hurt each other, help us apologize quickly.

And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. Keep our love fervent.

Bless our home and our future. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Short prayer to remember

Lord, keep our love fervent in our first year. Amen.
